Growing of roses



Roses are propagated both by seeds and vegetative methods.like cutting ,layering ,budding and grafting.The use of tissue culture  techniques for propagettingdisease free in large numbers has attracted  the attention of many specialist in plant propagation.
Seed propagation is generally adopted by breders,for producing new cultivers.
Cutting is used for multiplying various cultivers.eg.Climbers,ramblers etc.two types of cutting ,root cutting and stem cutting are usually done
Layering is done in climbing and rambling roses.It is done in early spring and monsoon.
Grafting ,In roses inarching,cleft and bench grafting methods are succesful but have many disadvances and are not at present commercially acceptable.
Budding  is the most popular methodt is preferably be done 5 to 7 cm above the ground
